Swan & Royal Hotel has stood at the heart of Clitheroe for centuries, a landmark woven into the town’s story. From welcoming figures like Gandhi and Churchill, to being a meeting place for locals through every era, it has always been more than just a pub.

Now, we’re beginning a new chapter. A destination gastropub where history meets innovation: great food crafted from Lancashire’s finest produce, premium drinks from carefully chosen partners like Hawkstone and Timothy Taylor’s, and interiors that blend timeless character with a bold new look.

A magical season of festive dining


Our festive menu brings together all the flavours of the season, from elegant starters to seasonal mains including roast turkey, slow cooked beef short rib & salmon Wellington. Created for memorable celebrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Our festive menu will be available alongside our usual à la carte menu, so you can choose exactly how you’d like to dine with us this Christmas.
